The ideal swath shape
Proven on more than 10.000 front mowers, the combination of two
large outer drums and two smaller inner drums produces a
characteristic rectangular fluffy swath. It is formed by the
double action of two streams of cut material criss-crossing and
building the open fluffy structures with maximum field drying
potential.
Furthermore, the swath is ideally suited to be picked up across
the full width of a forage wagon, baler or forage harvester.
Swath discs to adjust the swath width are available as an
option.
Light weight, low power requirement
Due to their low weight and low power requirement the CM 268 and
CM 298 are suitable for use with smaller tractors.
Transport
Both models are folded lengthwise into transport position from
the tractor seat. For smaller tractors and for working on slopes
a hydraulic lift cylinder is available to fold the mower behind
or to the side of the tractor. This way the weight of the mower
is closer to the tractor reducing the overhung weight.
High capacity
Fast cutting at maximum capacity can be achieved by combining
the CM 268 or 298 with a CM 270F(P) or CM 295F(P) front mower.
They make perfect combinations producing equally fluffy
rectangular swaths.
